Lt. Joshua Davis of the Springfield (Mass.) Police Department is a successful law enforcement officer yet he struggles with questions about God, choosing to beleive that "everything about him had come into being thanks to a lucky roll of the dice in a cosmic game of craps." He likes coffee and Chinese food, and is quite adept at handling chopsticks.
